We had a pleasant meal at Phoenicians. It’s a newborn Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant. I conceive it’s at 1686 Central Avenue — wager Google Maps. Phone sort strength be 464-4444. I did not encounter a website for it, though it strength materialize at: phoeniciansofalbany.com.
Lebanese? Well, it’s kinda same Hellenic food. Please state that they do not hit a Hellenic Salad on the menu. I also did not wager Gyros, though they did hit Shawarma. My spouse likeable that. It came with a chicken legume and herb salad that I liked.
I had the legume soup (very nice), and then institute my craving and sequential the course sampler. It had hoummos (a chicken legume dip), baba ghanouj (eggplant dip), whatever pickles olives and pickled turnips, tabouleh, and kefta. The critic was fantastic. Everything tasted enthusiastic and the texture of the dips was pleasant - not likewise pureed and not likewise squat either. The pickled clog was extraordinary from what I’ve seen in this genre. It was a brawny savor but worked for me.
